The $4.5M rehabilitation project was awarded $451k from OHPTC in Round 22 and took advantage of $800k from Federal HPTC.
Historic Preservation Tax Credit (HPTC) rehabilitation project for 30,000 sf. former commercial building located in the Central Business District. The 1924-25 Graphic Arts Building is individually listed on the National Register (NR# 09000911) and is significant under Criterion A: Industry for its association with the development of Dayton’s publishing industry; and, Criterion C: Architecture representing a significant example of early 20th century commercial and industrial architecture by the prominent Dayton architectural firm of Schenck & Williams. The rehabilitation converts the building into mixed-use 20 market-rate apartments and is awaiting first-floor commercial tenant improvements. The project was completed in May of 2021.
