The $5.6M rehabilitation project was awarded $545k from OHPTC in Round 21 and took advantage of $1.1M from Federal HPTC.


National Register nomination (NR# SG100002123) and Historic Preservation Tax Credit (HPTC) rehabilitation project for the 45,283sf. former Medina Farmers Exchange Company building.  The building is significant under Criterion A in the area of Commerce and represents the “farmers exchange” business model, offering dependable goods and services tailored to the needs of the agricultural community. 

The mixed-use rehabilitation was completed in December 2019 and includes ground-floor and first-floor commercial tenants including The Farmer’s Table, Keller Meats, 1904 Brews, and The Exchange Market. The upper floors were converted to house 16 market-rate apartments.
