Section 106 Review/Compliance for new ADA Entry & Elevator and rehabilitation of historic Bell Tower using Portage County FY2015 CDBG and State Capital Appropriations funds.

Historic Preservation Consultant to Mantua Township Trustees, Mantua Restoration Society and Portage County, CDBG Coordinator for Section 106 Compliance required for construction of New ADA Entry & Elevator and rehabilitation of the historic Bell Tower using Portage County FY2015 CDBG and State Capital Appropriations funds. The 1914 Mantua Center School (# 13000682) is a historic property listed on the National Register of Historic Places significant under Criterion A for education and Criterion C as a good example of a Neoclassical Revival school building designed by Paul T. Cahill. Naylor Wellman worked with Hummel Construction to review the Scope of Work and provided guidance to ensure the work met the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation, while monitoring and reporting to assure that proper documentation was submitted, reviewed and approved by the (SHPO) in compliance with Section 106 requirements.
